He doesn’t need to be paid like a real HVAC service contactor, just a few bucks would be nice
My guy is a legitimately handy guy when it comes to fixing things, but, if you hand him a computer he is useless. But, the guy can fix a grass mower, install electric or perform a/c and heating service without any hassle though. He has an extensive toolkit that he carries with him at all times. He can google and watch videos of a service or repair as and just do it, and my family has figured out how handy he is. They now have decided to call him regularly for free labor. My sibling calls him all the time to help him with the wiring in his old home. My father is regularly trying to wrangle him in to doing plumbing repairs. My brother recently bought a modern gas furnace, but rather than pay a heating professional to do the heating system repair, he had my guy do it! Did he pay my guy for setting up his gas furnace? No, our brother did not even supply him a thank you for all his time! I have decided that enough is enough. Nobody is getting free heating, cooling, electric or plumbing work out of him anymore. If they want him to do any sort of service, repair or replacement, they need to pay him. He doesn’t need to be paid like a real HVAC service contactor, just a few bucks would be nice. My guy is too nice to tell them no on a favor. I am going to have to be the terrible guy towards our family. They are mooching way too hard off his skills so I am taking him away.
