My A/C System Was Leaking Refrigerant

My cooling bill has been unusually high recently, however at first, I noticed a subtle raise in our cooling bill, but I thought nothing of it, i had assumed it was because our air conditioning idea needed a month to adjust to the warmer climates; However, when our cooling bill continued to rise to a price that wasn’t considered normal, I knew something was seriously wrong.

I called a heating and air supplier to come service our air conditioning, even though I’d just had it took care of before Springtime arrived.

I had to wait a few afternoons for the HVAC professional to come to our beach house because he was so busy servicing most people else’s homes, but I was glad when he finally showed up. I couldn’t rest the plan of paying another high cooling bill, so I turned off our A/C idea actually until the HVAC professional could come see me. I also didn’t want to cause any more damage than necessary. After he was done repairing our A/C system, he said it was leaking refrigerant. Apparently, there were holes and cracks in the coils that were holding the refrigerant. He was surprised that I didn’t think it was leaking by the sounds it was making, but the holes were smaller, which was creating a hissing sound, but once the HVAC professional pointed out the sound to me, I finally heard it, but it was subtle. I don’t suppose I would’ve ever heard it on our own. Thankfully, he was able to patch up the holes and the refrigerant stopped leaking.
