My husband’s pickup truck has a very weird smell in it for some reason and we can’t figure out where it’s coming from.
It’s starting to drive us crazy, though.
Every time I get into the truck to go to the store or out to the farm, the smell starts coming through the air vents as soon as I turn on the air conditioning system. It wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t the summertime and the temperature wasn’t so hot outside. As it is, though, the weather has been heating up even more than we thought it would over the past couple of months. It’s not really the time of year when I want to ride in the truck for any length of time without running the air conditioning. I mean, one of the reasons that we bought this particular truck in the first place was because it had a really good air conditioning system in it. I know that most people say that old work trucks don’t need air conditioning in them, but that’s simply not true. I am not about to go out in ninety degree temperatures and work on the farm for hours at a time when I can’t get into my truck’s air conditioned cabin to start cooling down when I’m done. That’s just how it is and I refuse to change my mind about it. I guess we are going to have to take it into the garage to see if a mechanic can figure out what the weird smell is, though. It has to be something to do with the heating and cooling system. The smell doesn’t get really bad until you turn the air vents on.
