I never really had any issues with HVAC companies before, not until recently.
I had this HVAC professional come over to my home who seemed rather sketchy.
I thought everything was fine though because this was a certified professional, he just didn’t act very professional. The guy did work on my HVAC, and I thought everything was fine. Well that was until after the HVAC worker left and it started feeling overheated in my home. I thought that was funny because I just had the A/C system worked on. When I went to the thermostat, I realized that there was no thermostat. My new smart thermostat was missing! Since the only person who was at my house was the HVAC professional, I realized that he had to have stolen it. I ended up calling the HVAC company, the police, and I even got a hold of my lawyer. The police ended up finding my smart thermostat in the possession of the HVAC professional. I knew it was mine because I engraved my initials into the back of the smart thermostat, so it was easy to identify as mine. It turned out that this HVAC professional had stolen property from other people as well. I arranged for a lawsuit against this HVAC company, and I ended up getting a good settlement. The HVAC worker was fired immediately and I believe he was in jail for a little while. In a way I was happy because I was able to afford a nice HVAC upgrade after the settlement. I moved into a new house with radiant heated floors and a nice fireplace!
