Security system protects kids when they’re home alone

My wife and I both have especially demanding work schedules.

We put in very long hours.

We are rarely able to get home before our three children get off the bus from school. When the boys were younger, we always arranged for a babysitter. Now that they are ten, thirteen and fourteen, my wife and I have decided to let them be on their own at home for a few hours. We’ve taken added safety measures to set our minds at ease. My wife and I invested in a wireless home security system. We have automated door locks that are keyless. The boys simply punch in a code to open the door. An app on our smartphones allows my wife and I to make sure the boys came home safely. We know exactly what time they entered the house and can check that the doors are locked. Motion activated surveillance cameras give us a clear view and real time footage of the front door and the backyard. At any time, we can see who is entering or exiting the house. This not only gives us the confidence that our boys are safe and sounds but verifies that they are behaving. The kids aren’t permitted to have friends over without supervision. If they attempt to sneak a friend in, we’ll be alerted. If they don’t arrive home from school on time, they can’t get away with it. The security system features smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for added safety. There’s a sensor to alert us in the event of excess moisture due to a plumbing malfunction. The security system gives us confidence. We know our boys are safe, secure and protected at home alone.
