The a/c unit stopped working at the ice cream shop on the hottest day of the year.
It was so hot outside that most people wouldn’t go outside but rather should stay in and enjoy their central air conditioners and window air conditioners.
On hot summer days like this, it was essential for every home and shop to have a good central air conditioner or window air conditioner or multi split air conditioner or else they could die of heat exhaustion. The heating and cooling businesses were a very popular place this time of the summer because everyone needed to get extra parts for their air conditioners and air filters. They also know that the HVAC business has heating and cooling equipment for sale which is another reason why it’s such a busy place in the hot summers. Some people who could not afford a central air conditioner sold their hot water boilers and furnaces so they could purchase a central air conditioner. The ice cream shop down the road had a great central air conditioner, but someone came and stole some important parts out of it in the night and now the ice cream shop no longer has air conditioning. This was horrible for two reasons. First, everyone loved going to the shop on hot summer days, but not when the shop didn’t have air conditioning. And second, much of the ice cream melted very quickly when there was no central air conditioning. The shop had to send someone to go to the heating and cooling company to purchase some new a/c parts and air filters to replace the ones that were stolen.
