The house was great but needed a new air conditioner

When I bought our home, I knew it wasn’t an up-to-date house, plus I was well aware of the condition of the HVAC supplier, but I bought the house because it had a history.

It had gone through the civil war, plus they had installed the HVAC system around the end of the century; a house that was almost 250 years outdated needed more than an HVAC system.

I wasn’t sure if they had put insulation in the walls, or if they put the paneling over the stone walls. I was going to gut the house, make sure the insulation was on site, plus put in an up-to-date HVAC system. I called the local HVAC supplier plus advocated for an HVAC contractor. I then called our brother, who was a contractor. I told him about the house and then asked for his help. I wanted to keep the historical section of it intact, even though I needed some modernization! The property was a twenty-5 acre farm that looked as if the only thing that could be farmed was rocks. I enjoyed everything about it! Once our brother looked at the house, he went into job mode. The walls were removed, plus he checked the foundation! He gave me the go ahead for any job I wanted done, although he was already planning on doing the work. The following week, I was talking to the HVAC contractor. He was sad about needing to install an air duct, plus asked if I would be at all interested in an alternative HVAC system. He didn’t even want to take away from the integrity of the historic outdated house, plus was thinking I may want a ductless HVAC system.
