It was way too hot over at our neighbor’s house the other night when we went over that for dinner.
This was the first time that we had been invited over there and so we wanted to go.
We actually wanted to see what the inside of the house looked like and so we accepted the invitation even though we don’t really want to get all that chummy with the neighbors. We thought that it would be a good idea to go over there for dinner anyway, and so my wife made her famous apple cake for dessert and I brought over a bottle of wine. We had a fairly good time at first because we all just sat around and talked outside around the garden. However, when we went inside the house, it was just terrible. The temperature inside the house was way hotter than it was outside the house, even though I could plainly hear the air conditioning running. I think that they were just having problems with their central air conditioning system. That had to be the issue because everything else in the house was lovely. The decor and the furnishings were beautiful and the food was really good too. However, it was so hot inside of their house that I could barely even stand it. I couldn’t wait to leave and go home so that we could sit down in our own air conditioning and relax. If we ever go back over there for dinner again, we will definitely make sure that it is during the colder part of the year.
