Relationships are difficult.
The older I get, the more complicated and stressful they seem to be all the time.
Rather than learning how to more easily functionally coexist with someone in a romantic relationship, it seems as if adult baggage simply accumulates and makes the entire thing impossible for everyone. That’s why, I am not uniquely busy with this relationship break that I am taking with our ex. Every one of us both just sort of went different ways and stopped speaking a few months ago, and I cannot say that I have a highly emotional response to it. Honestly, I am ecstatic that both of us can actually avoid the heat of Summer together. Whenever both of us were together, it felt as if I had to endure the most uncomfortable indoor air pollen levels at that dirty apartment. The residential situation was less than ideal because the stupid building and Heating & A/C idea were both equally old. Throughout the summer, I remember that both of us could turn on the air-conditioning idea at full blast and start shiver under blankets… Or both of us could have no air conditioner at all. All or nothing. All morning both of us would sweat to death and at night I would be harshly shivering beneath the sheets; Don’t even get me started on how filthy the volume of indoor air was… You could basically see the dust circulating from the air vents and softly landing on every surface. When I look back to this terrible situation, I do not miss the temperature extremes that our body often went through. And I cannot say that I miss that warm body on top of me.
